On raising a son on the autism spectrum, progressive politics, pop culture, and coffee addiction.
I'm glad the girls didn't upset Bud too much but sorry it hurt you. I've been helping with craft making in my Son's class this week. It amazed me how many of the kids pandered to his differences. Eagerly joining in a frenzied hunt for the only pair of purple scissors as he will use no others etc. But then there are the other kids who stare him out and nudge him for a reaction. I share your concerns as to how this will develop as they get older.
Been there with the flour...!And the cereal, cornstarch, Comet, upturned plants, shampoo, toothpaste -- until we discovered sensory integration.
